Description

A letter from Robert J. Mitchell to Governor Doyle E. Carlton asking for the governor's assistance in securing Mitchell's release from jail. Mitchell writes he was imprisoned for five years and three months in Cuba before being extradited to Key West and has completed six months in the Monroe County Jail. Mitchell explains Sheriff Niles will not release him despite an order from Judge Harris and asks the governor to intervene.
